I’ve recently read “All the Bright Places” by Jennifer Niven.I purchased this book on recommendation and I have no regrets. So I’m going to be doing a review of the book and let you all know what I thought of it.
As soon as I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down,it was such a page turner.I really connected with Violet and the pain that she felt when her sister died. She wanted to shut herself away from the world and she did for a while, she cut herself away from her friends and she lost all interest in things she once loved doing.I could really connect with the process of grieving that she went through and the pain that she felt.
Finch was being bullied which he kept to himself. He dealt with it all on his own which eventually had an effect on him because he had been suffering alone for so long.Finch’s mental health suffered because of the consequences of being bullied day in day out.I connected with parts Finch’s character.
This whole books has many lessons to be taken away from it.It deals with loss, grief, bullying, suicide and mental health.I definitely shed a few tears while reading this book and the story was so detailed I felt as if I was in the story with Violet and Finch.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a new book. It’s easy to follow and it’s so gripping you won’t want to put it down. There’s a lot to be learned from this story for anyone of any age.
Jennifer Niven has done such an amazing job writing this book and I’m very happy that I’ve read this,if any of you know of any books similar to this definitely let me know because I would love to read them.
Thank you all for reading,
