Now before I start this post I am in no way saying that my hair is perfect and everyone’s hair should look like mine.I’m simply just sharing some tips with you that I use to try and keep my hair in good condition and just because these things often work with my hair that again doesn’t mean that they’ll work in the same way with your hair because everyone has a different hair type. This post is also a collab with Gemma, her blog is linked here so make sure you go and give her post a read after you’re finished here. Now lets get on with my tips for healthy looking hair!
1.Use Less Heat
Straightening and curling your hair is so damaging for your hair,it breaks and splits the ends of your hair and leaves your hair really dried out.Reduce the amount of heat that you use on your hair and try including some heatless hairstyles as a substitute for the heat, braids are a good substitue because you can get two hairstyles out of them because they naturally curl your hair after you take them out at the end of the day.
Taking hair vitamins can help repair and revitalise your hair.I use some which I picked up from Holland & Barrett but you can buy them anywhere and they just keep your hair in good condition.
A lot of people don’t like hair oils because they can leave your hair feeling greasy but if you put them in a little while before you wash your hair they can help lock in moisture and leave your hair feeling soft after they’re washed out or you can rub them into your hair and leave them in overnight and wash them out in the morning.
Overwashing your hair can dry it out and leaving it looking dull and dry. You’ll end up washing out all of the moisture and it will just look dull.
5.Coconut Hair Products
Coconut honestly works wonders with my hair.I’ve recently been using a coconut oil shampoo and it has left my hair feeling so smooth after washing it and it gives a healthy looking but non greasy glow to it.I would honestly recommend this tip the most out of all of the other tips because the coconut shampoo that I’ve been using has honestly been incredible with my hair.
They are all of the tips that I have found useful when it comes to my own haircare but if I find out anymore I’ll be sure to share them with you.
Do you have any haircare tips that you swear by?
