Family Weekend In Galway

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to my blog.I hope you all had a great Easter, ate loads of chocolate and enjoyed the long bank holiday weekend.Seems as it was a long weekend my family & I all went to Galway to make the most of it.Salthill is the spot that we all like to go to because it’s right beside the beach and is such a relaxing area. It’s also only a few minutes drive from the city. We’ve been here many times and I’ve even wrote a blog post about a weekend here before back in September when we went there for my dads birthday.

On Sunday we decided we wanted to go to the Cliffs Of Moher,We’ve never been to the cliffs before but we really wanted to go because I’ve seen pictures of them and the view looked breath taking which I can confirm it truly was.The walk up to the cliffs was so lovely, the view was so surreal. It was honestly like looking at something from a movie,we brought Rossa with us and so many people kept stopping us to talk to us about him and one person even asked for a photo with him which was so funny but I think Rossa was enjoying all of the attention haha. The further we went up the cliffs the windier it got,our hair was blown all over the place but it was totally worth it for the view from the top.18049691_1022655307869312_316279143_o18049850_1022655284535981_2089309691_o18015646_1022655267869316_1988483967_o

After we visited the Cliffs we then headed back to the hotel, sorted ourselves out because our hair was blown all of the place and my hair was in tangles so we freshened up and then headed out to the funfair where I screamed my lungs out on the Walzters and forced my brother Dylan to come on a Caterpillar “rollercoatser” with me.We then went out for an Italian meal and it was the best Italian that I’ve ever had!

On Monday we took a trip into the city and went for lunch in a Café which I’ve always wanted to go to because it looked so cute. It’s a really cute Café called Cupán Tae which is the Irish for “Cup Of Tea”.We had to sit outside because we had Rossa with us but when we went inside to pay I got to see the inside of the Café(I didn’t take pictures because it was so crowded) but it looked adorable and so vintage/old fashioned styled which I loved. The menu also had plenty of veggie options on it too which was great!18042810_1022655064536003_1161351946_o.jpg17975990_1022655141202662_2011097301_o.jpg18043061_1022655214535988_482676980_o.jpg

We then finished up shopping & lunch in the city and headed back into Salthill and went to the beach.I love Salthill beach,it’s so calming and it’s never crowded.I always feel so relaxed at the beach, the sound of the water just really relaxes me.The tide was coming in while we were walking along the beach which I actually quite liked because I love the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and crashing onto the shore.Rossa on the other hand isn’t the biggest fan of water so maybe he didn’t enjoy it quite as much as me so he didn’t come to close to the water but that’s okay he still liked the sand so he just stayed away from the waves.17968687_1022655077869335_1312785740_o18013086_1022655264535983_1169885755_o18043040_1022655124535997_65784963_o

After the beach,we then went to the Circle Of Life garden which we also went to the last time we were in Galway so you might remember the pictures of it from that blog post. This is such a pretty garden,it has a pond with a wishing well underneath it and the grounds overall are just lovely. There’s never really many people there either and this is also a place in Salthill where I feel relaxed and calm because there’s just a really peaceful atmosphere in this garden. This was my brother Dylan’s first time in this garden and he also now really likes it so I’m glad I got to show him this lovely spot.18049485_1022655194535990_1322767429_o18049564_1022655144535995_1984614762_o18015790_1022655177869325_1296747508_o

After our stroll around the garden we then went to the funfair where I screamed my head off on the Waltzers (again) and crashed into everyone on the bumper cars.I had a great few days in Galway,Salthill is such a lovely place to go to unwind and relax. It was also amazing that we got to go to the Cliffs Of Moher because we’ve never been to them before & I love seeing new places.
